Remedial Saddle Fitting

WHY IS A GOOD SADDLE FIT IMPORTANT?
A well fitting saddle means your horse will be comfortable, have freedom of movement which will promote muscle development and enable them to perform to the best of their ability.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE SADDLE DOESN'T FIT?
A badly fitting saddle will be uncomfortable and restrict the horse's movement preventing muscle development. It may manifest itself as a minor resistance such as loss of scope or shortening of stride or as a more serious behavioural issue or full blown injury.
To put it in a human perspective imagine a saddle like a pair of shoes. If they do not fit they are uncomfortable at best, at worst it can lead to blisters, bruising, even strains and sprains. You might cope walking round the house but imagine walking to the shops or working out at the gym - ouch!
